Richard W. Simmons, II is a highly respected attorney with over 31 years of experience.
Mr. Simmons is an active member of the of the South Carolina Bar Association, where he served as secretary-treasurer of the Military Law Committee. He is also a member of the Lexington County Bar Association, the Richland County Bar Association and the Kershaw County Bar Association.
Mr. Simmons has previously served as the President of the Kershaw County Bar Association. Mr. Simmons is a retired Major in the United States Army Reserve, where he was a Judge Advocate assigned to the 12th Legal Operations Detachment at Fort Jackson. He also served with the Army in Afghanistan and in Europe. Mr. Simmons graduated from Indiana University in 1988 and then from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1991. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1991. He was also admitted to the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 1992.
